============
Akeley Herald Tribune, Nov. 23, 1939
Donald L. Bradt
Donald Le Roy Bradt was born
July 3, 1907. Passed away November 14, 1939.
Age 32 years four months eleven days.
The early years, of his life were spent in Park Rapids,
Where he graduated from high school. He was deeply interested
in music and was an accomplished pianist. He had and orchestra
and composed several of his own orchestrations. He played athe the
Royal Theatre and was also organist at the Episcopal Church.
In 1926 he was united in marriage with Violet Beach of Akeley, Minn.
To this union two children were born Donna Belle and Darelene Ann.
They lived in Akeley, Minn. for some time and from there moved back to
Park Rapids. Donald then became interested in piano selling and tuning.
This work took him to La Crosse, Wisconsin, and later to Williston,
North Dakota. In 1931 he began failing in health and doctors advised him
to return to Minnesota which he did. He steadily grew worse and in 1932
he entered the Sanitorium at Ah-Gwah-Ching. He remained there off and on
til the time of his death.
The loss of his mother n 1937 was something that was very hard for him to forget and he mourned a great deal over tht. He seemed to grow steadily weaker and finally passed away in his sleep.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Violet, two daughters, his
father Charles Bradt and two brother s Kenneth of Fergus Falls, Minn. and Gordon of Park Rapids, Minn. and sister Helen also of Park Rapids.
