Individual Note:
"Edwin Dilts of Harrowby, Manitoba and Stella Bridges of Cartwright, Manitoba were married October 17, 1945 at Winnipeg, Manitoba after the return of Ed from overseas, where he served four and one half years in the armed services. They resided at Harrowby, Manitoba until January, 1947, when they moved to Frobisher, where Ed was employed by the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway). As there were no houses available for rent at the time, they lived in the CPR bunk car, then moved into the Moffat house of Railway Avenue. With the exception of one year, 1953 spent at Rieder, Manitoba, Frobisher has been their home. They have one adopted daughter - Joanne, who came to live with them in February 1958 at the age of eighteen months. Ed was fatally injured September 3, 1963. Stella and Joanne have continued to make their home in Frobisher. Stella has been employed at various jobs since then - Forsyths Store, Secretary-Treasurer for the Village, Swayze's Store and since February 1974 at the Estevan Credit Union, Frobisher Branch."

Individual Note:
My mom has been a great help and the reunion last summer
cleared up some questions. As for the chidren of Cora. The data as I
sent it to you is how the family asked to have it. Cecil was not Cora's
child but he was a Dilts. The best that I can piece the story together
is that Emma was raped by the indians. Cora used to let the indians into
the house to party all the time. Harry was apparently a very passive man
and didn't interfere with anything. This is why Clarabelle left when she
did. She did not get along with her mother. We have been trying to find
the old family pictures but they are very scarce.

Items of note....
Roni Carter says that Martha A. (Shepard) Dilts was born in born
10-17-1865 Albion Iowa
Both the 1920 & 1930 census says she was born in Ohio.
On the 1920 census, Charles W. Dilts says his mother was born in Maryland.
The 1870 Monroe County, Wayne Township, Federal Census
says Charles' mother (Mary E. Burns) was born in New York
By 1930, Charles, or whoever was at home when the census taker came,
didn't remember where Charles' mother was from.

As far as I know, Etta is not related on my side. I will ask my grandmother
if she remembers anything. Some info for you.
Uncle Charlie( Charles Vernon) and my grandmother Bernice practically grew
up together. He worked at Westab and became good friends with my soon to be
grandfather. In fact, It was he who introduced my grandparents, The
occupation of both was Lineman - they put the lines on the paper.

By the way. I may have a photo or two of Charles wesley and Martha. I have a
lot of old ones, and am in the process of identification. Will let you know.

As far as Mathias Shelkop: I'm not sure. The date seems wrong in conjunction
with the birth date of Flossie. However, It could be the father of Mathias
David or (uncle Matt) as my grandmother called him.
I will see what info I can get from her.
Roni
