REMER - Lowell L. Killian 78, of Remer died
Thursday Sept 25, at the Itasca Medical Center
in Grand Rapids.
    He was born April 80, 1919, in Scott County,
Minn, to Matilda and Orville Killian. He mar-
ried Arline Magnuson on Feb. 3, 1961, in St
Paul. She preceded him in death in 1994. He
then moved to Remer; where he married Anna.
May Pound on Dec. 3, 1994. She survives.
other survivors include: three daughters, Julie
Kelly and her husband, Michael, of West St
Pauli Minn, Lowella Maurer and her husband,
Fred, of Woodbury, Minn., and Sandra Barrett
and her husband, John, of White Bear Lake,
Minn, two stepdaughters, Nancy Watkins and
her husband, Jim, of Remer, and Sherri Majano
and her husband, Oscar of Lead Hill, AR; four
stepsons, Bruce Pound and his wife, Val, of
Remer, Dean Pound and his wife, Jane, of
Omaha, Neb, Wayne Pound of Priest River
Idaho, and Dale Pound and his wife, Tammy, of
Remer; two sisters, Marion Stordahl of Eding,
Minn, and Fern Rosen of St; Paul; one brother,
Virgil Killian of St Paul; seven grandchildren,
one great-grandchild, 18 stepgrandchndren,
and two Stepgreat-grandchildren,
He lived most of his life in the St Paul area. He
served In the United States Army in World War
II. He was a watchmaker and worked 34 years
with Bockstruck's Jewelry in St Paul.
    Local services were at 6 p.m. on Sunday Sept
28, at Mason Memorial Congregational Church
in Remer, with the Rev. Sheila L. Hunter offici-
ating.
Services were also held at 2 p.m. Monday Sept
29, at Zion United Methodist Church in Lydia,
Minn.
Burial was in Concord Hill Cemetery in Lydia.
Rowe Funeral Home in Remer was in charge of
arrangements.
